Mission Impossible: The Secrets of the The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, keeps teams on their toes. From the Prehistoric Journey, where you travel through time-starting 3.5 billion years ago, to the Space Odyssey, where the universe is yours to explore – each Mission location captures the energy of Denver’s largest museum.

Working undercover, your team Mission is to decipher the codes of up to ten Mission Challenge Locations; determine the Mission Challenge location within the field of play area; solve up to a dozen ‘Mission Adventure Challenges’ at each Mission Location; and return back to headquarters before time runs out!

Throw in the highly creative Photo Challenge that has teams scanning the periphery in search of the obscure; teams must manage their time effectively to earn the most performance points. Can your team balance the demands of both?

And if that doesn’t keep the team busy, how about we include a few mind-twisting adventure challenges that require quick thinking and effective execution under the pressure of time?

Intensely strategic, highly collaborative, and mind-expanding, managing the many challenges of Mission Impossible: The Secrets of the The Denver Museum of Nature & Science will keep teams on the move, requiring team focus while strategizing on the bigger picture opportunity. Resources are endless – but will team members recognize the possibilities?

Program Overview

IT'S NOT THE FASTEST TEAM THAT WINS -- IT'S THE SMARTEST TEAM!

There are too many Missions to reach within the official timeframe – this is intentional. Strategy and big picture thinking is key to success.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE IN ACTION

Teams gather at a central location in the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. A quick overview of the TEAM Balance Model will provide important clues on how to best approach the challenge. Unlike your typical scavenger hunt that leads teams point to point sequentially – this playing field is wide open. Your team has the opportunity to head north, south, east or west – the choice is up to you! Mission Impossible is about strategy – we don't tell you where to go – you decide the best route based on a series of complex clues. Which team will have the best strategy? Which team will decipher the most codes? Which team will complete the most missions? Which team will earn the most performance revenues?

TEAM BRIEFING

The rules of engagement are revealed and Missions are distributed. It is up to each time on how they want to strategize and set their course of action.

READY, SET, GO!

Teams head out in search of each Mission Challenge location while managing their Photo Challenges. There are too many Missions to reach during the official timeframe. It is up to each team to determine which locations to target and ultimately earn the most performance points.

RESULTS AND DEBRIEF

Teams arrive to Mission Headquarters for final scoring and review of the results. Because of the complexity of the Missions, each team is recognized for unique accomplishments. Of course there is also recognition for the team that has earned the most performance points!

Program Overview

IT'S NOT THE FASTEST TEAM THAT WINS -- IT'S THE SMARTEST TEAM!

There are too many Missions to reach within the official timeframe – this is intentional. Strategy and big picture thinking is key to success.

With a majestic backdrop of the distant snowcapped Rocky Mountains, the Denver Zoo Scavenger Safari is a dynamic, competitive, strategic and intensely collaborative event. Combining our traditional Scavenger Hunt with our Zoo Adventure Safari, this event will keep teams on the move as they navigate and solve a variety of challenges. Highly collaborative, intensely competitive, and the complexity of managing multiple challenges simultaneously is the key to maximizing performance revenues during the designated time period. The key to success is to recognize the strengths that all team members bring to the team; allocate expertise effectively; develop a big picture strategy; and manage a ‘multi-tasking’ challenge in a limited period of time.

Program Overview

Navigation

Teams will be supplied with backpacks; supplies; maps and materials to accomplish a variety of challenges. The entire time period will require team to travel to various points in City Park and the Denver Zoo to locate; solve; and document challenges. It is up to the team on how they want to manage their time and what challenges they decide to pursue.

Strategic Adventure Activities

These are 'short collaborative events' that will require the team to think quickly! Strategy and effective execution are the keys to success. There will be a series of Strategic Adventure Activities at various points within City Park. The objective is to locate and successfully complete each of these activities.

Clue Challenges

The team will be given a number of 'Clues' that will lead them to various points of interest. Team members must solve the clue, determine where the clue answer is located, travel to the clue locations, and take a team photo at the site.

Zoo Clue Challenges

Teams will be given a series of interesting facts that hold the key to the clues that must be solved to successfully locate the animal species in the Zoo. Teams will document their arrival to the site with a team photo.

Photo Challenge

Each team will be given a digital camera with a list of required photo challenges. The objective is to decipher what the challenge requires, be open to the 'periphery' to locate the photo challenge locations, and document their team at that location. It will require the ability to balance a 'big picture' approach with 'focused attention' on other simultaneous activities.
